Has practised Japanese acupuncture since 1982. He graduated the New England School of Acupuncture, and has done extensive studies in Japan and with Japanese teachers in the US and especially in Europe. He practised in the US until 1997 and has practised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands since then. He is author/co-author of eight books including: Hara Diagnosis, Chasing the Dragon’s Tail, Japanese Acupuncture, Understanding Acupuncture, Shonishin – Japanese Pediatric Acupuncture and Restoring Order in Health and Chinese Medicine. He is one of the two most senior teachers of Toyohari outside Japan. He teaches workshops and courses around Europe, in Israel, Australia, NZ and South America. He has a PhD in acupuncture research (1997), and collaborates with an international team of researchers, authoring/co-authoring dozens of scientific papers on acupuncture. He is an Associate Professor with the Kristinia University College (Oslo, Norway) since 2008. His lectures bring together experience from decades of practice, with knowledge from over a dozen experienced (> 45 years each) Japanese teachers (mostly blind practitioners), knowledge from the classics and scientific knowledge. |
