Dr. DoAnn T. Kaneko is passionate promoter of optimum health, happiness, and a more peaceful world by educating adults and children about Eastern and Quantum healing, as well as Lotus Faith Healing medicine.
Dr. Kaneko is a second-generation practitioner in Oriental Medicine. A doctor of Oriental Medicine, acupuncturist, Shiatsu, Anma practitioner and author, he has 50 years of experience practicing and teaching the healing arts.
Among his past achievements are founding the non-profit educational institute 'Shiatsu Massage School of California', and the holistic clinic 'Tao Healing Arts'.
He was one of five pioneers who brought shiatsu to the U.S from Japan. In the 1970s, he worked with Wataru Ohashi at the Shiatsu Dojo, then developed his own workshops in Japan and New York. He innovated Kaneko Shiatsu Anma, integrating both the Shiatsu and Anma styles of massage therapy.
For his contribution to the healing community, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from AOBTA and World Massage Festival, as well as a Hall of Fame award from the latter. His other major award is winning second place in the 'Flying fingers in Antriptic Arts' Expo, sponsored by Massage magazine in San Francisco (1992).
